Students of Nacula Memorial Primary School in the Yasawa’s collect plastic rubbish around the island

Students of Nacula Memorial Primary School in the Yasawa’s took time out to collect plastic rubbish around the island and the result was shocking.

The 170 students managed to collect around 10,934 plastic materials in an hour.

The children went through the bushes and along the white sandy beaches of Nacula in their effort to save their island from pollution.

A team from Australian’s organisations called It’s time Foundation is currently in the island assisting villagers and the school and are teaching women how to do self breast cancer checks.

They will be installing solar panels at the Navutua Infant School later today.
