Naco granted bail by Suva Magistrates Court

Akuila Nawaco Naco, who is charged with allegedly dishonestly appropriating more than $1.5 million from a bank between the months of May to June 2018, has been granted bail by the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Naco is charged with theft.

Defence lawyer, Filimoni Vosarogo had applied for name suppression for his client, but it was dismissed by Magistrate Indula Ratnayake.

Naco is on a strict bail of $5,000 and has been told not to interfere with the prosecution witnesses and not to change his address.

A no-departure notice was also issued for Naco.

The case will be called again for mentioning on the 26th of next month.
