Nabua man charged for allegedly assaulting pregnant sister

The 24-year-old man who allegedly assaulted and struck his pregnant sister with an iron rod on Saturday has been charged and will appear in the Suva Magistrates Court today.

Nabua Police have charged the man with one count of Assault Causing Actual Bodily Harm and one count of Act with Intent to Cause Grievous Bodily Harm.

Police say the man committed the offence following an argument with his sister about their compound in Nabua.
