Good news for the people of Vanua Levu as the Nabouwalu passenger terminal will be opened soon.

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says over the weekend, the Ministry of Local Government and its partners conducted a final inspection of the terminal site.

Rabuka says what was once a long-standing need for the people of Bua and travellers through Nabouwalu is now becoming a reality not just a promise.

He says the terminal will provide a clean, sheltered waiting area for passengers, kiosks, an eatery, and restrooms to serve the public.

The Prime Minister says it will also have a police post with holding cells, office space, a dedicated bio-security office to uphold national health standards and ticketing services, bus bays, and ample parking to improve transport flow.
