Nabenu, Wasasala, Taroga and Verevou racing against time to get fit

A number of well renowned Suva soccer players are racing against time to get fit as they are down with injuries and are highly likely to miss the Punjas BOG semi-final against Nadi.

Defender, Simione Nabenu has a shoulder injury while top attackers like Christopher Wasasala, Iosefo Verevou and Patrick Taroga have ankle and knee injuries and are not training with the team.

Meli Codro and Nickel Chand are also carrying minor injuries but are expected to recover on time.

Players like Jonetani Buksh, Sairusi Nalaubu and Semi Matalau are expected to spearhead Suva’s attack against Nadi.

Suva last won BOG in 1995.

Ba takes on Rewa in the first semifinal at 2pm this Saturday, while Nadi will face Suva in the second semifinal. You can catch the live commentaries on our sister station Radio Sargam.
