NZ lifts transit visa requirements for Fijians
New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon.

Good news for Fijians transiting through New Zealand as the New Zealand Government has lifted transiting visa requirements for Fijians.

This has been announced by New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon this morning during a press conference with Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.

Rabuka says he is grateful for the development.

Luxon says this was a major irritant for someone travelling through New Zealand.

He says the New Zealand cabinet has given approval for this and it is expected to come into effect soon.

More to follow.
