New Zealand has so far provided over $5 million in assistance to Fijians who have been affected by the recent Cyclones

In his Waitangi Day Message, the New Zealand High Commissioner to Fiji Jonathan Curr says New Zealand will continue to work with the Fiji Government and NGOs on recovery efforts in communities most affected.

He says New Zealand and Fiji’s responses to the COVID-19 pandemic have been first class, and rank among the most effective globally.

Curr adds we still, however, face the ongoing and real impacts of climate change and the urgency of this issue has not been diminished by the pandemic.
