The New Zealand Super Rugby teams continue to dominate the Super Rugby Trans-Tasman competition.

The Hurricanes thumped the Rebels 35-13 while the Highlanders beat the Western Force 25-15 last night.

Jona Nareki scored a try for the Highlanders moving them up to second place on the points table.

First-half tries to Nareki, Ayden Johnstone, and Scott Gregory had put the Highlanders to a 20-10 lead at the break.

The Hurricanes survived a second-half scare from the Rebels which enabled them to be at the top of the table with 3 games left to be played today.

The Hurricanes scored five with former All Black winger Julian Savea scoring a double, while Asafo Aumua, Billy Proctor, and Wes Goosen each scored a try.

Meanwhile, the Blues will face the Waratahs at 4.35 this afternoon, the Chiefs will play the Brumbies at 7.05 tonight and the Reds will take on the Crusaders at 9.45 tonight.
