NZ Prime Minister to pay respect to Fijian nationals killed in Christchurch terror attack

New Zealand’s Prime Minister, Jacinda Arden will visit the Lautoka Jame Masjid to pay respect to the three Fijian nationals that were killed in the Christchurch terror attacks in March last year.

58-year-old Asraf Ali who lived in Omkar in Narere, Imam Hafiz Musa Patel of Lautoka Jame Masjid and another, Ashraf Ali who moved to New Zealand years ago were killed in the terror attacks.

Ardern will visit Fiji from next Monday to Thursday.

She will pay a courtesy call on President, Jioji Konrote and meet with Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama on Tuesday.

Ardern will deliver a speech at the University of the South Pacific and visit the RISE Informal settlement project in Tamavua-i-wai.

Another key feature of Prime Minister Ardern’s visit is her meeting with the Women MPs, Women in Business, Civil Society and Youth leaders.
