The National Fire Authority is working with the Police Forensics Department to determine the cause of the house fire in Tamasua Road near Nailuva Road where an elderly couple lost their lives.

NFA Chief-Fire-Officer Qionilau Moceitai says they will only be able to release further information once they have completed their  investigation.

79-year-old Kuar Singh and his 74-year-old wife lost their lives in a fire on Tuesday night that also destroyed the top flat of their two storey house.

The couple were trapped in the house when the fire started at about 10.30pm.
