The National Fire Authority will today begin their investigations into the fire that destroyed one house and partially damaged three other houses along Salim Street yesterday.
The homes were vacant at the time of the fire and there were no reported injuries.
Authorities are also still yet to find out what caused the blaze that killed a 70‑year‑old woman of Feeder Road in Lautoka.
The woman was a stroke patient and was trapped inside the house during the fire.
Police say the three flat, ten bedroom property that was destroyed in the fire, belonged to a taxi driver and the total costs of damage is yet to be ascertained.
