Mystery surrounds performers for Tokyo Olympic Games opening ceremony

We are days out from the highly-anticipated Olympic Games opening ceremony, yet no performers have been officially announced.

Though what has been confirmed is that there will be no screaming fans in the stands at Tokyo’s Olympic Stadium, except for a few VIPs and dignitaries, and a large portion of the event is set to be pre-recorded.

According to USA Today, no decision has been made about how many athletes will be allowed to join the march, with social distancing still a cause for concern.

The Tokyo Olympic Games Opening Ceremony will start at 11pm Friday.

The event will run for approximately four hours.

Fiji men’s 7s team captain Jerry Tuwai and Fijiana 7s team captain Rusila Nagasau will make history as Fiji’s flag bearers for the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympic Games.
