More than 100 people were part of the fundraising walk organized by the Fiji Cancer Society at Albert Park this morning.

Minister for Women, Children, and Poverty Alleviation Lynda Tabuya and former President and Speaker of Parliament Ratu Epeli Nailatikau were also part of the 5km walk.

The walk today was to support the 77 cancer patients under the Fiji Cancer Society and fundraising for 6-year-old Kiyan Hunter's medical treatment in India.

Meanwhile, 50-year-old Mele Koroi says she considers herself lucky to have survived stage 4 breast cancer.

The mother of 5 says she joined the Cancer Society as they had supported her during her difficult stage in life and she has learnt a lot from the brave survivors of the organization.
