More people fined in Labasa for smoking in public places

10 more people have been fined for smoking around the Labasa Market and Labasa Bus Stand area.

The Health Ministry will now be taking a strong stance in issuing Tobacco Infringement Notices to members of the public who breach the law namely the Tobacco Control Act 2010.

Health Inspectors in the Northern Division have formally requested Police in the division to assist them in ensuring the No Smoking Rule in public places are adhered to.

7 people were fined $200 earlier this week.
