More than 420 families in lockdown areas assisted with food packs by Govt this morning

More than 420 families in cordoned off and lockdown areas were assisted with food packs by the Ministry of Economy this morning.

Coordinator Kamal Gounder says this includes the final delivery of 280 packs in Muanikoso and 140 packs to people who are in home isolation around the country.

Gounder says they will start distributing 700 packs in Nadi this afternoon which will continue tomorrow.

He says this includes 351 packs in Tramline, 51 packs in Qina Settlement, 103 packs in Nawejikuma and 166 packs in Korociri.

More than 791 rations packs were distributed yesterday.

Gounder says this includes the 300 packs delivered in Waila which will last them till the end of next week.
