The Ministry of Education is yet to clarify why the Principal of a secondary school in the Central Division has been demoted to a teacher’s position.
Fijivillage has also asked for a clarification whether the Principal was demoted after his comment in a private chat group regarding a statement released by the Minister for Education, Premila Kumar.
It is also not clear what disciplinary measures were taken to demote him.
We have sent questions to the Minister for Education, Premila Kumar and the Permanent Secretary for Education, Dr. Anjeela Jokhan.
They are yet to respond.
