The Ministry for Public Works, Transport, and Meteorological Services will emphasise in the upcoming budget whether to bring another 2 extra lanes from Laqere to Vatuwaqa or focus on those who do not have access from the rural areas.

This was highlighted by Minister Ro Filipe Tuisawau who says that he is working closely with the Department of Transport in reviewing traffic management, which is a major concern for the people living in the urban areas.

Ro Filipe says he has asked the Ministry to refocus on this issue as they move forward in terms of formulation and communication with their stakeholders.

He says some of these projects will take time due to the Government finance system, which is only working on grants and not loans because there are too many loans.
