Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Lynda Tabuya says they will review the Social welfare allowance to meet the needs of the people.

Tabuya says they have been briefed on the programs that have been in place and are halfway into the year in terms of their yearly budget.

She says they have another 6 months to review and look at the programs that are in place by the previous government.

Tabuya says as a new government they have their new policies and promises which they had stated to the people.

She further says one of these policies includes reviewing the Social welfare allowances to see that it meets the needs of the people as far as the cost of living is concerned.

The Minister says this will be something of urgent importance as they would like to see it being fulfilled in their first 100 days in government
