Two people have been arrested following separate drug raids by the police in Sakoca and Nanuku Settlement.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Livai Driu says a 38-year-old woman was arrested in Sakoca following the discovery of substances believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana.

He says the raid conducted at the suspect's home led to the discovery of a small bag containing a white substance believed to be methamphetamine, a small tin containing dried leaves believed to be marijuana, and several mobile phones and cash.

ACP Driu says in another drug raid, a 35-year-old man was arrested at Nanuku Settlement after he was found with small bags containing a white crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.

The seized substance has been sent for analysis.

ACP Driu confirms that the 52 year old woman arrested at the HFC Stadium yesterday has been released, based on the analysis conducted on the seized white substances coming back negative.
