Mark ups on products should be reduced – Abraham
The CEO of the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission, Joel Abraham

The CEO of the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission, Joel Abraham says they are working with retail outlets to see that the mark ups on household products that are sold for higher prices are reduced.

As a large section of the Fijian people are going through tough times, questions are being asked on whether retail companies can re-look at their mark ups or the interest rates they are charging on household items.

Abraham says they have spoken to businesses to ensure they are providing a lot of specials and are able to provide discounts on products so that they are able to spur economic activity.

He says a lot of companies are running specials on items.
