The Marist Brothers High School Under 18 rugby team has defeated Ratu Kadavulevu School 36-5 in a warm-up match at the Marist School ground this afternoon.

Marist who are the defending champions of the national U-18 title, scored two tries in the first quarter that laid the platform for a dominant performance in the other two quarters.

RKS principal Ilaisa Waqalala says the warm-up match between the two teams will allow them to better prepare for the Deans competition.

He says the warm-up game was an opportunity for the students to be selected for their final squad in their U18 team.

The zonal competition is expected to start next week.
