Marist 7s: Marist U18-21 coach confident of good start

Hosts for the 49th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s, Marist Club are hoping to stamp their mark in this year's 7s tournament and hopefully add silverware to their cabinet.

Under 18 and under 21 coach, Tadeo Vulaca says most of his players were playing in secondary school last year and he is confident with the level of talent on his side they can create a few upsets.

Vulaca says they have reached the business end of the preparations and they are focusing on various aspects of the games, like game management and discipline.

He says they are doing a lot of blackboard work educating the players on the laws of the games and ways they can effectively communicate with the match officials.

Vulaca says as hosts, the players are reminded to be good ambassadors during the tournament and lead by example.

The U-18 and U-21 games begin tomorrow and the overall games end on Saturday.

Tickets can be bought online through Ticket Mate and also at the games venue.
