Residents of Lami are raising serious concerns that a lot of people are walking around the Lami area without masks and not following health protocols and some were also spotted behind the Post Office without masks and were smoking.
Concerned residents are now calling for more police patrols.
When contacted, Police say all those found without masks in Lami Town today were advised to wear it, especially young people.
Police say while some have had their mask hanging, a few others placed their masks in their pockets.
These people were advised to put it on and they continued with their COVID-19 awareness safety measures through their command vehicle and hailers.
