Manchester City cruised into the FA Cup fourth round with a 4-0 victory over Chelsea at Etihad Stadium.

Riyad Mahrez scored twice while World Cup winner Julian Alvarez and scored a goal each.

This has been a satisfying few days for Manchester City as they closed the gap on English Premier League leaders Arsenal to five points and they may face them again in the FA Cup fourth round unless League One Oxford United can spring a surprise at the Kassam Stadium on tomorrow.

In other matches, Derby beat Barnsley over 3-0, Stoke beat Hartlepool by 3-0, Blackburn beat Norwich 1-0, Stevenage beat Aston Villa 2-1 while Walsall beat Stockport 2-1 while the match between Cardiff and Leeds finished with a 2-all draw.
