Managreve pleads guilty to 51 counts
Former Principal of Marist Brothers High School, Susau Managreve has pleaded guilty to 51 counts fraud related charges in the Suva Magistrates Court in the last hour.

Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili asked Managreve if he wanted to seek legal advice before taking the plea however he said that he has already sought legal advice and is accepting the 51 counts.

In mitigation, it was highlighted that Managreve is 55 years old, married with four children.

It was also stated that he is a first offender.

Managreve also said in court that he had a verbal agreement with the brothers when he became principal of Marist Brothers High School.

He said when the new management came in, they did not recognize him as principal.

Managreve also said that he has paid back all the money in relation to the 51 counts.

This was confirmed with the receipts presented in court today.

Managreve will be sentenced on the 12th of January, 2012.
