A 66-year-old man who is alleged to have raped his 9-year-old granddaughter has been further remanded in custody by Judge Justice Daniel Goundar.
The man pleaded guilty to one count of indecent assault and has pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape.
The alleged incident occurred between February and March 2017 in Kadavu.
The case has been adjourned to the 30th of August for pre‑trial conference.
