A 40‑year‑old man who allegedly burgled the house of a 48‑year‑old woman and later raped her in a settlement in Nausori has been released on bail.
Mubarak Hussein who is charged with a count each of burglary, sexual assault and rape appeared before High Court Judge, Justice Thushara Rajasinghe this morning.
The alleged incident happened on 31st May, 2013.
It is alleged that the woman was alone in the house at the time of the incident.
