Man to front court for breaking into Nasinu temple

A man in his 30s, who forcefully broke into a temple in Nasinu on Saturday night and stole a gas cylinder, burners, catering equipment and assorted items, has been charged and will appear in the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.

Police say a report was received on Saturday night of an unknown person who broke into the Nasinu Gurdwara Guru Ravidass Temple, and the Valelevu Crime Operations team were alerted.

They quickly pursued leads from the information gathered and managed to arrest the suspect from within the Valelevu area.

Police also recovered the alleged stolen items.

The man has been charged with one count of sacrilege.
