Man to front court for allegedly robbing five shops in Labasa

A man in his 20’s who is alleged to have broken into five shops at the North-Wind Arcade in Labasa Town during curfew hours last week has been arrested and charged.

He has been charged with five counts of burglary, five counts of theft and one count of failure to comply with orders and will be produced in the Labasa Magistrates Court tomorrow.

He is alleged to have stolen assorted items and cash worth more than $30,000 however Police have managed to recover some of the items.

The accused was arrested from Naiqaqi Village in Savusavu on Sunday.
