A 48-year-old man has been sentenced to 13 years and 4 months imprisonment for two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl between 2010 to 2017.
High Court Judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe handed down the sentence to Tevita Naodele today.
The incidents occurred in the Colo-i-Suva.
The girl who is 19-years-old now was 12 at the time of the sexual assault and 14-years-old when the first rape occurred.
She was between the age of 16 to 18 years when the second rape occurred.
Naodele has been given a non-parole period of 11 years and 4 months.
