Man remanded for allegedly wounding wife and step-daughter
Sanjay Lakhan pleaded not guilty to two counts of Assault With The Intent To Cause Actual Bodily Harm

A man accused of allegedly striking his wife and step-daughter with a cane knife in May this year has denied he committed the offence in the Suva High Court.

Sanjay Lakhan pleaded not guilty to two counts of Assault With The Intent To Cause Actual Bodily Harm.

His wife and step-daughter were wounded in the incident.

The incident happened in Bau in Nausori on 19th May this year following an argument.

It was heard in court that Lakhan agreed in his caution interview that he was at home at the time and that there was an argument.

The Prosecution intends to call seven witnesses.

Lakhan has been remanded in custody.

The case will be called again on 27th August this year.
