A man has denied in the Suva High Court that he raped a girl under the age of 13 years in a village in Naitasiri.
He pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape before Justice Thushara Rajasinghe today.
The man and the girl are from the same village.
He allegedly raped the girl between 1st January 2016 to 31st December 2016 and also between 1st January 2017 and 31st December 2017.
The trial has been set from 2nd to 3rd December this year.
The complainant, her aunt, uncle and grandfather will take the witness stand for the prosecution.
The accused will also be a defence witness.
The case has been adjourned to 14th August this year.
