Man linked to be impersonating as COMPOL charged and to front Nasinu Magistrates Court today

The man accused to be linked to the circulation of Viber messages purporting to be the Commissioner of Police, asking for money, has been charged.

Police say following consultations with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, the man, a resident of Wanibuku in Nakasi has been charged with one count of identity theft under the Cybercrime Act of 2021.

He will appear in Nasinu Magistrates Court today.
