Man killed in early morning Sigatoka robbery

An investigation is underway in relation to the murder of a man in his 70s in Cuvu Top, Sigatoka early this morning.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the man and his partner were victims of an alleged robbery whereby he sustained serious injuries which caused his death.

She says police are searching for the suspects who had allegedly entered the man's home and tied him and his partner and assaulted him.

Naisoro says the man's partner managed to free herself and upon checking, discovered the man’s body.

A post mortem will be conducted to ascertain cause of death.
