Man in custody for robbing a Nadera woman of more than $9,000

A 36-year-old man has been remanded in custody for his alleged involvement in an aggravated robbery case in Nadera on Thursday night.

Police say the accused allegedly robbed the woman of more than $9,000 in cash consisting of both local and foreign currencies.

They say a team from the Southern Division was formed after the matter was reported, where they managed to apprehend the accused.

The accused has been charged with one count of aggravated robbery, produced in the Nasinu Magistrates Court, and has been remanded till the 21st of July where his case will be recalled in the Suva High Court.

fijivillage News has also been told that 4 people had used a getaway vehicle.

We are currently trying to get the response from Police on the status of the investigation and the three other people involved.
