High Court Judge, Justice Daniel Goundar has today found a man guilty of raping his cousin in Suva in 2020.
While delivering his judgement, Justice Goundar says he believes the account of the complainant and rejects the version of the accused.
It was heard in court that the woman was staying at the accused person’s house to attend a tertiary institution.
Justice Goundar will sentence the man on Thursday.
He has extended the man’s bail.
Justice Goundar has informed the man that if he fails to appear on Thursday, he will sentence him in his absence.
