A man who was found guilty of two counts of defilement has been given a suspended sentence by the Lautoka High Court.
It was heard in court that the 33 year old man and the 16 year old complainant were in a relationship.
He has been sentenced to 2 years, 4 months and 3 weeks imprisonment which has been suspended for 3 years.
The man was earlier charged with rape however after the trial the charges were reduced to defilement.
