Man escapes from custody

Police are seeking assistance in locating 30-year-old Seveci Navakasai who escaped from the custody of Fiji Correction Service officers.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, (ACP) Livai Driu says Navakasai was still handcuffed when he escaped from the lawful custody of Corrections officers in Cuvu, Sigatoka.

ACP Driu reiterated that it is a crime to harbor prisoners.

He urges those who have any information to call the Police or Crime Stoppers on 919 or 917 regarding Navakasai’s whereabouts.
