Man dies in Sigatoka housefire
A 53-year-old man has lost his life after a house fire in Sigatoka last night.

Police said the victim who was of unsound mind was trapped inside the house in Naevuevu Village.

Another 45-year-old farmer who was also inside the house at the time of the incident managed to run out and raise the alarm. 

However, the villagers pulled out the 53-year-old man with difficulty and rushed him to Sigatoka hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The cost of damages is around $40,000 and the cause of fire is yet to be established.
