A 40-year-old man who was allegedly assaulted early Friday morning in Ba Town has passed away at the Lautoka Hospital.
Police say the man, a carpenter from Lavuci, Ba was found motionless with injuries on Friday morning and was taken to the Ba Aspen Hospital and later transferred to the Lautoka Hospital.
He was admitted in critical condition and passed away on Sunday.
Investigations continue as investigators await the post mortem examination results.
