Man charged with one count of sacrilege after allegedly breaking into a temple in Kulukulu

A man in his 20s has been charged with one count of sacrilege and will be produced in the Sigatoka Magistrates Court today.

The accused from Vunakavika Settlement, Nayawa, Sigatoka is alleged to have broken into Ram Mandir Temple in Kulukulu earlier this month.

The accused allegedly stole more than $4,000 worth of electrical items and money from inside the temple.

Most of the items have been recovered.
