Man charged with murder of taxi driver pleads not guilty
A Nausori man charged with one count of murder, theft and unlawful use of motor vehicle pleaded not guilty before Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili this morning.

Davendra Naicker who is a welder appeared in a special court sitting in Suva Magistrates Court and told the court that he wanted Legal Aid assistance.

Due to seriousness of the offence and tension around the community, the Chief Magistrate remanded Naicker in custody to appear in Nausori Magistrates Court on 9th January.

It is alleged that Naicker murdered a taxi driver in Manoca, Nausori last Tuesday whose body was found few meters away from his taxi.
