A 20‑year‑old man charged with one count of defilement has asked for time to look for a counsel.
Joeli Cabebulakimunia is alleged to have had carnal knowledge with a 16-year-old girl between 2015 and 2016 in a village in Lau.
The offence was brought to light when the girl got pregnant.
The case will be called on the 1st of next month for plea.
