Man charged with arson and murder of a woman in Lami last month  further remanded

High Court Judge, Justice Salesi Temo has further remanded Arvind Chand Rai who allegedly murdered a woman in Lami and set the property on fire last month.

Rai who is a carpenter and resides in Narere has been charged with one count of murder and one count of arson.

35-year-old Fai Yen Chan was found unconscious by National Fire Authority officers when attending to a report of a fire at her residence.

Justice Temo has given more time to the prosecution to file information and disclosures.

The case has been adjourned to the 4th of September.
