Man arrested for breaching curfew also found in possession of marijuana

A 24-year-old man who has been arrested for breaching curfew hours in Bougainville, Nabua was also found in possession with some dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

He is part of the 13 people who have been arrested for breaching curfew in the past 48 hours.

Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu says from 11pm Tuesday to 4am Wednesday, seven cases were recorded.

The Western Division recorded three cases, the Southern Division had 2 cases while the Northern and Eastern Divisions recorded one case each. Six cases were recorded from 11pm Wednesday to 4am today.

The Southern Division had two cases while the Western Division had four cases.

12 cases were of people being drunk during the time of arrests.
