Man arrested during curfew hours for looking for a place to buy cigarettes in Nabua

A 25-year-old man has been arrested during curfew hours in Nabua as he was found running towards Luke Street allegedly looking for a place to buy cigarettes.

20 arrests for breach of nationwide curfew restrictions were recorded over the last 48 hour period.

Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu says 16 arrests were made between 11pm Wednesday night to 4am Thursday morning.

The Western Division recorded 7 cases, the Southern Division recorded 6 reports, the Eastern Division had two while the Northern Division had 1 report.

Four arrests were recorded from 11pm last night to 4am this morning.
