Nasinu Magistrate Sufia Hamza has remanded 31-year-old Shalini Nand and 34-year-old Sanjay Nand who are charged with allegedly assaulting and obstructing Police Officers on Sunday last week.
The alleged incident happened at Maravu Settlement in Valelevu.
Sanjay Nand is charged with one count of serious assault while Shalini Nand is charged with a count of disorderly conduct and one count of damaging property.
According to Police, Sanjay Nand allegedly assaulted a police officer while Shalini Nand allegedly damaged police property after hitting the Police vehicle.
The matter will be called again on Friday.
