The man who is alleged to have caused the death of a 55-year-old woman last Friday has been granted bail by the Suva Magistrates Court.
Sivorosi Naisevu is charged with one count each of dangerous driving occasioning death, dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and dangerous driving.
It is alleged that last Friday Naisevu failed to negotiate a bend along Fletcher Road in Vatuwaqa and the vehicle veered off the road and landed in a drain, causing the death of the woman who was a passenger in the vehicle.
Magistrate Liyanage Wickramasekara has granted Naisevu $2,000 bail with one surety.
The case has been adjourned to 7th March.
