Magistrates Court rules Solo Mara has a case to answer

Chief Magistrate, Usaia Ratuvili has ruled that former Fijian Ambassador to the US and Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs Solo Mara has a case to answer.

Mara is charged with one count of Disobedience of Lawful Order and one count of Giving False Information.

Mara allegedly disobeyed a search warrant on the 24th of January this year.

While delivering his ruling, Chief Magistrate Ratuvili says after considering the evidence before the court, there is a case sufficient to put the accused to his defence.

The matter is adjourned to 4th February next year.
