People are now demanding for urgent action as drugs like Ketamine are being found even up in the Navosa Highlands, and it is alleged that these drugs are being stolen from the public hospital and sold to hard drug users and dealers in the country.

Ketamine is a medication that doctors use as an anesthetic to induce loss of consciousness.

These are also used as a date-rape drug, where people have been using it to mix in drinks to take advantage of people in the nightclubs and some parties.

When questioned on fijivillage Straight Talk With Vijay Narayan, Drug Free World Fiji Founder Kalesi Volatabu says the use of Ketamine by people is a concern.

Volatabu says she has reports from a user that she was getting her Ketamine supply from the public hospital through a source.

Volatabu says it is crucial that parents reach out when they see suspicious activities with their children at home as this will help curb the problems the young people are facing.
